  • What is the FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2016?
    Fan Festival 2016 is the second major event of its kind for FINAL FANTASY XIV. This global event will be taking place across three different regions, in three major cities: Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Frankfurt! It's a massive event built just for fans and features exciting announcements, development panels, in-game activities, merchandise, as well as amazing opportunities to play together in both in-game and live activities.
  • When and where will this take place?
    The Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas will be held on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can learn more about the venue by visiting the event location section on the Travel & FAQ page.
  • How long is the event?
    Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas is a two day event spanning Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, 2016 and each day of the show will feature unique content. Badge pickup will begin on Thursday, October 13 to accommodate the large amount of attendees arriving and picking up their badges. Attendees will be able to pick up their badge throughout the event and do not have to arrive on Thursday to do so.

    Note that there will be no events held on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
  • How much are tickets to the event?
    General Admission tickets are $135 USD (plus taxes and fees) and they can be purchased from the Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas ticket website. There is a limit of 4 tickets per order. Please read the full blog post for details.
  • What do I get for the price of admission?
    Each attendee will receive a badge granting them access to the event on Friday and Saturday. Each attendee will also receive in-game items and other FINAL FANTASY XIV-related goodies in a "goody bag" (with full details to be announced in the future).
  • Are there special VIP tickets available?
    No, only general admission tickets will be available.
  • What is the in-game item for the Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas?
    The are two in-game items for the Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas.

    The in-game bonus code will grant players a Rikku minion, and they will have the option to select either a set of gear that can be worn by male characters or a set of gear that can be worn by female characters. When redeeming the bonus item code, users will need to select whether they wish to receive male-specific gear or the female-specific gear and will not receive both. All users who redeem the bonus code will receive the Rikku minion. Note that the minion offered at each Fan Festival event will be different.
  • What are the in-game items for the Fan Festivals in Japan and Europe?
    Attendees of Fan Festival 2016 in Japan will receive a Lulu minion and will be able to select either one set of gear that can be worn by male characters or one set of gear that can be worn by female characters.

    Attendees of Fan Festival 2017 in Frankfurt will receive a Yuna minion and will be able to select either one set of gear that can be worn by male characters or one set of gear that can be worn by female characters.
  • How can I obtain the other Fan Festival-exclusive minions or the other gender-specific outfit?
    You can either attend another region's Fan Festival 2016-2017 event or you can purchase the event's premium livestream to receive the additional in-game items.
  • When will the in-game items be distributed?
    After the bonus code has been redeemed, the event-exclusive minion will be delivered to players upon the conclusion of that Fan Festival. However, the selected attire will not be delivered until the conclusion of the European Fan Festival in February 2017.
  • Do I have to attend the event to receive my goody bag and in-game items?
    Yes, you must attend Fan Festival 2016 in order to receive your goody bag and in-game items. We will not mail out your goody bag and in-game item bonus code if you do not attend.
  • Are there any hotel discounts that can be applied to Fan Festival attendees?
    Yes! We are offering discounts for rooms at the Paris Hotel & Casino where the event is being held. Please make your reservations for our special Fan Festival 2016 room block by accessing the Paris Hotel & Casino special reservation website. The discount will apply for reservations as early as four days before and up to four days after the event.

    * The Fan Festival room block has been completely booked, and as such the discount is no longer available at this time.
  • Is food provided at the event?
    Food and beverages will be sold at various times in the room adjacent to the Paris Ballroom. Outside food and beverages will not be permitted at the event, so please either purchase food from this area or make use of the many restaurants within the Paris Hotel & Casino and the surrounding establishments.
  • Is there an age limit for attendees?
    Yes, you must be 13 years of age or older in order to purchase a ticket to Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas.

    Persons under the age of 13 are permitted to attend the event free of charge, but they must be accompanied by an adult with a paid general admission ticket at all times. Attendees under the age of 13 and without a general admission ticket are ineligible to receive a goody bag, participate in activities, contests, and other giveaways.
  • Can I wear a costume to the event?
    Yes, in fact we encourage it and hope you enter the costume contest as well! Full contest details, including restrictions on prohibited items, will be posted in the future.
  • I'm unable to attend the event; can I be issued a refund?
    No, all sales are final. Please ensure all of your plans are in order before ordering any tickets.
  • Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
    No, tickets are non-transferable. IDs are checked at the door and badges are given only to persons matching photo identification.
  • Will the Fan Festival 2016 in Las Vegas be streamed?

  • Can I purchase the special in-game bonus items even if I can't attend the event?
    While the in-game bonus items won't be sold separately, the in-game bonus items will be available to those that purchase the live stream. Full details on the live stream can be found in the live stream blog post.
  • Is there a lost and found?
    Yes, the lost and found will be located near the registration area. To help ensure that you are able to easily retrieve any lost items we recommend adding passcodes to your devices and unique markers to other items, such as books and bags, so ownership can be quickly confirmed.
