Introducing the Fan Festival 2014 Live Stream!

We’re pleased to announce the Fan Festival 2014 Live Stream! We’ll be broadcasting the stage events, holding live interviews with special guests at our stream booth, and touring the show floor through our official Live Stream on Twitch.

Players looking to level up their viewing experience can purchase the Premium live stream and catch every hour of content from Fan Festival 2014, live, uncut and in HD! Your purchase also includes the Moogle Attire bonus item!

Fan Festival 2014 Event Schedule Posted!

With Fan Festival 2014 mere weeks away, we're happy to present the full Event Schedule. Friday represents our early registration day for attendees to come, check-in to the event, and pick up their giveaway bag. There’s also a casual reception planned that evening to help you meet with your fellow players.

Saturday and Sunday is when players can expect the bulk of activities and events for Fan Festival 2014 including an exciting keynote and dev. panels, our costume contest, and challenging in-game activities. While not all plans are listed in detail, and hours are subject to change, please use this schedule to plan your weekend’s activities. Introducing the Fan Festival 2014 VIP Ticket Upgrade!

We’re pleased to announce a new opportunity for ticket holders to enhance their Fan Festival 2014 experience! We’ll be offering 250 guests a chance to upgrade their standard ticket to a VIP ticket! There will be 250 VIP upgrades available for $80 per upgrade starting on Tuesday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m. (PDT) on a first-come, first-serve basis.

What does being a VIP grant you?

• VIP attendee badge
• VIP attendee t-shirt
• Separate registration line for badge pickup
• Reserved seating in the front rows for all stage activities
• Exclusive signing session access with guests from the FFXIV Development Team
• Early access to the event on Saturday & Sunday
• 10% discount on merchandise sold at the event
• One (1) free drink ticket at cash bars within Fan Festival 2014 at the Rio Hotel & Casino*
  *Alcoholic drinks redeemable only by persons age twenty one (21) and over, photo ID required

Access to the upgrade system opens Tuesday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m. (PDT) and is limited to existing ticket owners only. Those who bought multiple tickets can upgrade any number of their purchased tickets based on availability.

Open Call for Fan Festival 2014 Retainers!

Do you regularly stick your neck out to get a new Free Company member through extreme primal challenges? Have you taught your linkshell your strategy for earning gil? Do we have a place for you!

Our Fan Festival is in need of some hard-working men and women to take up the mantle of Retainer and help players throughout the event. Some will be tasked with advising attendees during their in-game trials and challenges, and others may need to help them navigate the puzzling Live Quest. Still others will be vital in helping us set up before the doors officially open!

In exchange for your efforts, you will be well rewarded! All selected Retainers will be reimbursed for their Fan Festival ticket upon completion of their duties. You can even apply and be selected as a Retainer even if you don't have a ticket! Welcome to Fan Festival 2014!

Since the launch of our teaser site, we’ve seen amazing support and enthusiasm for our upcoming Fan Festival, and for good reason! There will be so much to see and do at our first major event for FINAL FANTASY XIV that we’re bursting at the seams trying to keep it under wraps. Now that the full site is available, we’re pleased to reveal a few of the major details surrounding October’s FFXIV celebration in Las Vegas!

Our Contests page has been updated with news about a couple of ways players can flex their creative muscles and show off their talents. More updates on these as we get closer to the event, but don’t let that stop you from preparing now!

On our Giveaways page we detail a few of the gift items attendees of Fan Festival can expect this year!

We’ve listed a couple of the Activities players can look forward to this fall, including both exciting exercises in-game and live on the show floor. Not to mention your best efforts can mean great prizes, so sharpen your skills and show us what you can do!
